Job retention scheme

Job Retention Scheme calculator

The Government has created a calculator to help employers with their next Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) claims.

Employers can use the calculator to work out how much they have to pay their furloughed and flexibly furloughed employees, how much they can claim for employer National Insurance contributions and pension contributions, and how much they can claim back.

Please note, 30 November 2020 is the last day you can submit claims for periods ending on or before 31 October 2020. You’ll no longer be able to submit any further claims or add to existing claims after this date.

Employers can also download a template if you are claiming for 100 or more employees through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (for claims on or after 1 July 2020). Click here to download the template.

Job Retention Bonus

The Government are launching a Job Retention Bonus from 15 February 2021 until 31 March 2021. Employers can receive a one-off payment for each eligible furloughed employee who has been kept on continuously until 31 January 2021. Find out if you’re eligible to claim it.

Job Support Scheme

The Job Support Scheme helps individuals and businesses deal with the challenges created by coronavirus by helping employers retain their employees. Employers will be able to claim from 8 December, covering salary for pay periods ending and paid in November. Subsequent months will follow a similar pattern, with the final claims for April being made from early May.
