All Our Talents in Action: Opportunities for SEND young workers

Summary:

Looking to fill your skills gap? Hampshire County Council are running an unmissable, delicious and free networking lunch this #NCW2022 where young workers with special educational needs (SEND) will teach you first hand about the skills and talents they can bring to your organisation.

They will be sharing real-life solutions to recruitment gaps and hearing from employers who have already recognized how an inclusive approach can pay dividends for their organization and for the young employees themselves.

Funded by the Education & Training Foundation, they are bringing together employers and colleges to share information and learning on engaging with SEND young people.

Highlights include:

• Young people: talking about what they bring to the workplace, and the impact employment has on them and their colleagues.
• Employers: Lily and Lime Café, Minstead Trust (who’ll be providing your refreshment) and Milestone Infrastructure sharing their experiences of employing SEN young people
• Networking: with colleges and local authority partners who can support you on your journeys
• Learning: about the programmes and engagement that can help meet your skills gaps, including Supported Internships and Apprenticeships.
