Are you interested in the role of an Enterprise Adviser?

Enterprise Advisers are recruited from local businesses and organisations and will be working at a strategic level alongside the schools' senior management teams. The aim of these partnerships is to evaluate the existing careers and enterprise work taking place in the schools and develop activity plans to ensure that the best local provision can be accessed, helping to better prepare students for the world of work.

Each volunteer Enterprise Adviser is linked to one school or college and works with senior leaders and careers leads to support with connecting them to the world of work, bringing a business voice into the school and advising on employer expectations.

An Enterprise Adviser is asked to commit to an average of a day a month to spend with their school: This might include phone calls, emails and/or meetings, and is flexible in order to fit around other commitments.

The Enterprise Advisers also become part of a wider network - there are regular meetings for them to meet and share best practice as well as invitations to join online groups and resource hubs. Support is provided by the Solent LEP's Enterprise Coordinators from, and regular training and development opportunities are provided.

We are hosting an online session to give interested individuals a chance to find out more in an informal setting and ask any questions they may have.
