As the nation emerges from lockdown, places face numerous challenges, risks and opportunities. The inaugural Place Index from Social shines a light on the range of issues and concerns communities have when it comes to the future of their local areas. From scepticism in the levelling up agenda - a third think their areas will be left behind more affluent areas, to concerns about the future of the high-street – 37% believe their high street has no future, this is an important milestone for all those involved in placemaking.
