Become An Enterprise Adviser

We have an ambition to work with all secondary schools and colleges across the Solent, partnering each of them with a volunteer Enterprise Adviser.

Watch the short film below that shows why two of our current Enterprise Advisers chose to volunteer for this important role.

The Enterprise Advisers Network is delivered in partnership with the Careers & Enterprise Company, an employer-led organisation set up to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work.

Enterprise Advisers are recruited from local businesses and organisations and will be working at a strategic level alongside the schools' senior management teams. The aim of these partnerships is to evaluate the existing careers and enterprise work taking place in the schools and develop activity plans to ensure that the best local provision can be accessed, helping to better prepare students for the world of work.

“Having my old school take me on as an Enterprise Adviser has gone very well. They are open to my ideas and advice as to what businesses need today”

A quote from a current Enterprise Adviser

“I became an Enterprise Adviser because I want to share my knowledge and experience and give something back. I would like children to have options and alternatives to reach their aims and aspirations”
