Coding days aim to help adults and children learn and share digital skills. This year in the Solent we are, in collaboration with a major high street bank, targeting young people so that they learn the basics of coding in school.
We want to inspire children about the potential of coding for their increasingly digital futures. This is for students in years years 5, 6, 7 and 8 (aged 9 to 13). At approximately an hour long, it will cover elements of the programming topics in the Key Stage 2/3 computing curriculum. It will be engaging, interactive and fun.
We will pre-record the session so children of any ability can play it at their own pace.
It will be available from 27th November, through to 1 December 2023 and you will need to sign up in advance to take part.
So if you are part of a school who would like to offer this exciting opportunity to learn about what makes our digital world work, then sign up to find out more.
