Statutory Sick Pay Rebate scheme

 

The government announced further support to help businesses with the impact of the Omicron variant on 21 December 2021.

The Statutory Sick Pay Rebate scheme (SSPRS) allows small and medium sized employers (those with fewer than 250 employees) to claim the costs of Covid-related absences, for up to two weeks per employee. Firms will be eligible for the scheme from 21 December 2021 and they will be able to make claims retrospectively from mid-January.
