Solent LEP Business Membership

Solent Local Enterprise Partnership Ltd has been registered as a company, limited by guarantee, and has three categories of Membership:

• Business (B) Membership – for businesses
• Public Authority (P) Membership – for local authorities
• Higher Education (H) Membership – for higher education institutions

Our Business Members are integral to the shaping the work of the LEP. They vote on any changes proposed to our Articles of Association - which govern the way the Company operates - and they elect our Business Directors to the LEP Board to lead the strategic direction of the organisation.

Business Members also have the opportunity to become directly involved in the work of the Solent LEP in many ways.

Business Membership of the Solent LEP is open to any business currently undertaking professional, business or other commercial activities with a view to profit within the Solent LEP area (including organisations that re-invest profit or surplus revenue into their organisation or the LEP region or community). Business Membership is not open to representative organisations.

There is no cost or membership subscription fee associated with Solent LEP Membership, however, we ask that all of our Members are prepared to support the work of the Solent LEP in some way: this may be through volunteering the time of a senior representative to take on a role on the LEP Board or one of our panels, or contribute to the work of the LEP in other ways such as donation of services or hosting of meetings and events.
