How the LEP is supporting a Greener Solent

We set out our own commitment to improving the environmental well-being of the Solent in our Assurance Framework in section 2.4 - in it we state that we are committed to ensuring that our activity is sustainable. We have made a range of pledges to formalise this commitment, including;

• Using sustainable and plastic-free marketing collateral wherever possible,
• Offsetting emissions for all travel of LEP Board and staff members;
• and prioritising the use of easily accessible event and meeting venues.

As part of this we have been supporting and funding a huge range of projects and initiatives from right across the Solent region that have a positive impact on the environment.
