Health and wellbeing is it at the heart of economic success, and, with a focus on building strong, healthy, and resilient communities that can prosper in a fast-changing world, is one of our seven strategic priorities.
Our experience of navigating the Covid-19 pandemic and resulting economic challenges has highlighted the importance of health and wellbeing as a critical underpinning ingredient of economic resilience and performance. Going forward, and as we look to increase local productivity and support our communities to prosper, we want health and wellbeing in its broadest sense to form a key part of our long-term economic strategy, Solent 2050. Through this strategy we want to embed healthier ways of living and working as we look to level up opportunity across all parts of the Solent and ensure that our health and wellbeing assets and business base more broadly, are equipped to seize growth and innovation opportunities as society adapts to a ‘new normal’.
ACAS has developed the Small Business Mental Health and Stress at Work toolkits. Both contain draft copy and assets that you can use to help support the conversation around positive mental health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Watch their latest video where our ACAS Head of Mental Health and Wellbeing, Francoise Woolley talks about the importance of creating an open and psychologically safe environment to talk about mental health and what both employers and workers can do to support wellbeing at work.
