The Solent Cultural Plan

The Solent LEP has been working with Arts Council England to produce a Cultural Plan for the region, to create a vision to benefit Solent's diverse cultural and creative communities.

Aims

The Solent Cultural Plan aims to:

  • inform and drive development, investment, and best practice in the coming years
  • shine a spotlight on the key culture, heritage, and landscape assets which make and define the Solent as a special place to live, work, visit, invest and study.
  • tell the story of the region - what makes it distinctive through a clear vision to optimise and grow the Solent's cultural economy.

In order to develop a Cultural Plan that truly reflects the requirements of the region, the LEP has commissioned cultural development experts The Intelligence Agency and CTConsults to work with partners and communities to develop a Cultural Plan for the Solent region.

They are carrying out workshops and engagement with organisations, businesses, key agencies, practitioners, and groups to support the shaping of this important document. If you are involved in arts & culture, heritage, creative industries, or culture-driven regeneration, please get in touch.

Please sign up to attend a facilitated workshop (see form below) exploring emerging themes, priorities, and ideas. There is no preparation needed for the session, but please come willing to explore and interrogate the needs and opportunities for culture in the Solent region and the story it can tell.

Sign up below to express your interest in attending one of the sessions. Alternatively, email enquiries@solentlep.org.uk to find out more about this project.
