At the University of Portsmouth we’re advancing our ambition to lead in environmental sustainability and become climate positive by 2030. Across the university, our Revolution Plastic Heroes are working to transform the way we make, use and dispose of the material. The Centre for Enzyme Innovation (CEI) Industrial Engagement Hub is launching in early 2022, following a £1millon award from HM Government/Solent LEP. This will provide a new environment for industry (including maritime) and academia to work together to shape, refine, develop and test low carbon and low energy enzyme-enabled solutions for the circular recycling of plastic waste.
