Wightlink

Wightlink is the largest cross Solent ferry operator serving the Isle of Wight with 33,000 sailings per year on 6 car ferries and 2 fast passenger catamarans. In 2018 we launched the UK’s first hybrid electric large vehicle ferry Victoria of Wight which has cut carbon emissions by 20% compared to a conventional diesel propulsion vessel. As a company we have cut our overall carbon emissions by 17% over the four years prior to Covid-19. We have been working on our Green Agenda since 2018 which includes the removal of single use plastic, recycling, improving marine wildlife habitats at our ports and providing electric car charging for our customers at our ports.
