Astrom Computing Ltd started as a software development company but since 2008 the focus of activities has been on systems for sailing events under the brand SailRacer. Their vision is to use affordable technology to improve the administration, engagement and profile of sailing events. The company is closely involved and well connected with the sailing community and the SailRacer sailing results database is one of the World's largest.

Using the tracking data, SailRacer has developed a number of analytical tools to bring the performance data to life, including performance overlays for videos, top speeds across all races, VMG, distance to start line etc.

The company requested funding to help further the development of GPS technology and to support sales and marketing activity.
