Go On Go Out are a web-based start-up company based in Portsmouth with a strong local connection. As a Social Enterprise they provide current and reliable entertainment and cultural events listings as well as a "what's on" guide. The company aims to increase awareness of culture and the arts, along with creating jobs and enhancing local communities. They aim to expand across the UK in 2015.

The company applied for BTG funding to support the start-up of the new web events promotion business through the purchase of key equipment required.

Si Bunting, Director of Go On Go Out, said:

Bridging the Gap funding helped us build Go On Go Out, the most complete guide to events in Portsmouth. We found the process challenging, but it helped shape our business plans and our persistence paid off as we secured the funding on our third attempt. We'll soon be expanding and covering other areas and wouldn't have got this far without support from the Solent LEP. We'd recommend anyone starting a business consider applying to Bridging the Gap.
