Young Entrepreneur and University of Southampton graduate Charlotte Pearce approached the Solent LEP seeking support to raise the startup capital to launch her business, Inkpact. Since receiving a £5,000 start-up grant from the LEP, Inkpact has created a tech platform which is transforming the way businesses such as Unilever and Mr & Mrs Smith engage and retain their customers by sending personalized, branded, handwritten communications. The business has gone from strength to strength, and now has a vast team of writers including everyone from stay at home mothers to elderly people and the disadvantaged – offering an income source to those who might struggle to find or have time for full-time employment. Alongside new employment opportunities, Inkpact, which charges per letter or on a subscription basis, has so far raised £1m investment and is now working on a Salesforce app with machine learning and recipient profiling.
