Lakaz Maman (the Mauritian Creole word for 'Mum's House') is a Street Kitchen founded by Shelina Permalloo, winner of the BBC's MasterChef in 2012. The restaurant serves food that has a tropical take on gourmet cuisine from her heritage of Mauritius.
The company requested funding to support the capital expenditure related to the start-up of a new business.

The Solent LEP fund has helped me create valuable jobs for the hospitality industry in Southampton. Lakaz Maman Mauritian Street Kitchen is the first restaurant like this in the UK our vision is to take the restaurant across the south coast continuing to create jobs in this sector.
