£75,000 Bridging the Gap Recipient - January 2015
Parkview Retail Limited was born from an idea by a father and son partnership, starting in 2001 with their original store in East Street, Southampton. The main aim being to provide high quality stores, products and services for both the residents and visitors of Southampton. Their original store was sold in 2011, unfortunately this smaller 1,400sq ft store no longer fitted the direction the business was heading. Their current three stores are ideally located throughout Southampton city centre.
The company requested funding to help implement the project to support the fit out of a store.
Richard Inglis, Director of Parkview Retail, said:
The funding from the LEP enabled us to open our third convenience store, reducing the need to borrow extra funds. They were very helpful from the start to the end of the assessment process. It's about time that small businesses can access government funding to expand and create jobs.
