The Solent LEP is pleased to announce over £2.5m is being made available to fund projects to support employment and skills across the Solent. Government have published three European Social Fund calls for proposals specifically for the Solent. Click; here for details on the three call specifications.
- £1,000,000 of ESF funding is available to develop and deliver a Solent Apprenticeship Hub. The impartial Solent wide apprenticeship hub service will offer brokerage support to businesses to recruit apprentices and secure training provision. The hub will provide tailored solutions and flexible delivery to provide the skills businesses need to remain competitive and grow the Solent economy. - £640,000 of ESF funding is being made available under the 'Solent Jobs Programme', to tackle worklessness by addressing the barriers which prevent people entering and sustaining employment. Applications which address issues in a holistic way, integrating a range of local health and support services to provide wrap around employment will be supported. - The Solent Community Grants Programme makes grants available to grass-roots and community-led organisations. A further £880,000 of ESF funding is being made available to continue activity which address exclusion, by engaging local people in improving their own lives and that of their local communities. DWP are conducting a single stage application process, with a deadline of 16 February 2018. All projects must be completed no later than 16 August 2021.

To apply for funding under these calls you will need to complete and send the Full Application form to the email address provided in the call document. The guidance provides information to help you complete the form.
