European Social Fund Calls for Proposals

24 November 2017

The Solent LEP is pleased to announce over £2.5m is being made available to fund projects to support employment and skills across the Solent. Government have published three European Social Fund calls for proposals specifically for the Solent. Click; here for details on the three call specifications.

  • £1,000,000 of ESF funding is available to develop and deliver a Solent Apprenticeship Hub. The impartial Solent wide apprenticeship hub service will offer brokerage support to businesses to recruit apprentices and secure training provision. The hub will provide tailored solutions and flexible delivery to provide the skills businesses need to remain competitive and grow the Solent economy.  The service will also support individuals to identify apprenticeship opportunities locally. For more information, download the call specification.
  • £640,000 of ESF funding is being made available under the 'Solent Jobs Programme', to tackle worklessness by addressing the barriers which prevent people entering and sustaining employment.  Applications which address issues in a holistic way, integrating a range of local health and support services to provide wrap around employment will be supported. For more information, download the call specification.
  • The Solent Community Grants Programme makes grants available to grass-roots and community-led organisations. A further £880,000 of ESF funding is being made available to continue activity which address exclusion, by engaging local people in improving their own lives and that of their local communities. For more information, download the call specification.

DWP are conducting a single stage application process, with a deadline of 16 February 2018.  All projects must be completed no later than 16 August 2021.
