Powering the Solent - Second Stakeholder Event

The Solent LEP is developing a new forward facing and industry led Heat and Power Strategy and Action Plan to 2050 for the Solent.

The Heat and Power strategy will inform the development of a Local Industrial Strategy for the Solent area. The strategy will look to build on our gateway hubs and sectoral strengths, whilst facilitating the shift to a low carbon economy, new markets and technological opportunities.

The strategy will address local issues around the demand and supply of energy as well as broader agendas around air quality, de-carbonisation and energy sustainability and security.

It is vital that key employers are engaged to ensure the strategy reflects business need. As part of this work the Solent LEP is holding targeted workshops with businesses. In this second workshop, local employers and stakeholders will have the opportunity to

• Consider the draft strategy; and
• Inform the development of the action plan.
