Maritime UK Solent is setting sail to support growth, collaboration, and innovation in Solent's maritime industry this March. With three free events on the horizon, Solent's maritime businesses are in for a treat, including opportunities to network and explore new possibilities in the sector.
Kicking off the month-long series of events is a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Event, which is set to take place on Friday 3 March. This event is a collaboration between Maritime UK Solent and universities in the South, including Solent University, University of Portsmouth, Winchester University and University of Southampton. It is designed to facilitate KTPs, aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to gain access to the latest research and technology to accelerate their businesses.
On Tuesday 21 March, Maritime UK Solent will then be partnering with GetSet Solent to host a Grant Information Event. Meet with representatives from Maritime UK Solent and GetSet Solent’s finance team and find out what support is available to fund growth projects, including the Growth Grant. It is also an excellent opportunity for networking with other businesses involved in the GetSet Solent programme and industry leaders in the Maritime Solent Community.
Lastly, a Networking Meeting will be held in partnership with Tech Solent at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton. On Wednesday 29 March, speakers from Subsea Craft, Ocean Infinity and SeaBot will share knowledge and insights on technology, as well as collaborate to develop new solutions for growth in the maritime industry.
Maritime UK Solent is committed to promoting the people, innovation, and environment priorities in the maritime sector, and these events are an excellent opportunity for maritime organisations in the Solent region to connect, develop and promote their businesses.
