Solent LEP invites you to participate in the development of a new Transport Investment Plan for the Solent area

The provision of high quality multi-modal strategic transport infrastructure and operations is a key factor in achieving transformational change in the Solent, raising productivity and ensuring our economy remains globally connected through our international gateways.

Despite recent successes in securing significant investment in our transport networks through the Solent Local Growth Deal, Highways England's Roads Investment Strategy and other sources, there remains a need to do more, be more ambitious, and make best use of our transport assets, to enhance our competitiveness on an international stage, increase our productivity, raise the level of foreign direct investment to the area and increase local employment opportunities.

The Transport Investment Plan is a critical piece of work to inform the development of our wider Growth Strategy and future strategic transport investments in the period to 2040, with an immediate focus on early opportunities.

Views from the local area will be critical to ensuring that the Transport Investment Plan meets the needs of the Solent and the investments which it prioritises have the best impact for Solent businesses.
