Solent LEP Visits New Forest to Engage with Businesses about Support & Funding

On Wednesday 28th June 2017 the Solent LEP hosted a free business support event which saw over 50 local businesses attend a session in Hythe in the New Forest to hear about support and funding.

Alongside information on business support and funding available through the LEP and its Growth Hub, the event also provided an opportunity to hear about support for the region's marine and maritime business community through experts from British Marine and Williams Shipping, a successful local business and beneficiary of the Solent LEP's Marine and Maritime Fund who received £40,000 to support the expansion of their premises and purchase of equipment. 

A range of local business support organisations from Enterprise First and Department for International Trade South East to UK Export Finance were also in attendance to provide businesses with information on the support and services they could offer from mentoring and premises to exporting guidance.
