Business owners who have been impacted by the roadworks currently taking place on the A31 at Ringwood, are invited to attend a Business Support Day in the town on Friday 10 June.
The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and Ringwood Business Association are running the drop-in event to provide expert business advice and support, from 9.45am to 17.00, at Greyfriars Community Centre, 44 Christchurch Road, Ringwood, Hampshire, BH24 1DW.
Business experts and representative organisations will be on hand to provide information and offer practical advice to those who have been affected by traffic congestion. The A31 improvement scheme to replace bridges and widen the road, started in January this year and is due to continue until November 2022.
Topics covered at the Business Support Day will include:
However, this is not an exhaustive list and businesses are encouraged to come and have one-to-one conversations about whatever issues they are facing as a result of the roadworks.
The Solent LEP works in partnership with business, education, and local authorities and plays a leading role in determining economic priorities, and investing to drive economic growth in the region.
Paula Swain, Solent LEP Business Director, and SME Business Ambassador, said:
“Businesses are welcome to drop-in to the event at Greyfriars Community Centre in the town centre at any time throughout the day.
“There will be free expert advice available to cover all the issues a local business may be facing because of shoppers being unable to access them as a result of the A31 roadworks.
“Those attending will have the opportunity to hear from business support providers about their offers, and to engage with them on a one to-one basis about specific challenges.
“If you know of any other local business owner who has been impacted by the traffic congestion and would benefit from the support on offer, please let them know about the Business Support Day.”
