With this year’s GCSE and A Level exam results about to be revealed, Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is inviting students to explore its Careers and Skills Hub to find inspiration for their next step forward.
The Solent LEP hub offers useful support and information about career paths, job hunting skills and upskilling opportunities. It’s a valuable resource for young people who are unsure about what’s available and which direction their futures should take.
Brooke Hoskins, Skills Board Director at Solent LEP, said: “Exam results days are a momentous milestone for young people, and their parents and guardians, and we hope that they bring good news for all.
“However, this can often be a time of uncertainty when young people are faced with deciding on a future career path and what happens next. The LEP’s online Careers and Skills Hub is a brilliant source of information which will inspire young people to look at the range of opportunities on offer in the region.
“Please take a look at the hub and discover the various options that are available to take you on next step of your career journey for a bright future.”
There is information on CV writing and interview techniques; volunteering and work experience; apprenticeships; studying abroad and guidance for parents.
The hub also outlines how the LEP works with the region’s employers, colleges and schools to ensure that businesses have the employees they need to fill skills gaps and young people have the right opportunities to suit their skillsets.
