The Solent LEP have partnered with EBP South to work with over 60 secondary schools from across the area and partner each of these with a volunteer Enterprise Adviser to deliver the Enterprise Adviser Network on behalf of The Careers and Enterprise Company in the Solent area.
Enterprise Advisers are being recruited from local businesses and organisations and will be working alongside the schools' senior management teams. The aim of these partnerships is to evaluate the existing careers and enterprise work taking place in the schools and develop activity plans to ensure that the best local provision can be accessed, helping to better prepare their students for the world of work.
The Solent LEP have contracted a team of Enterprise Coordinators to -
• Recruit schools and business volunteers to expand the Enterprise Adviser Network in the Solent area.
• Help schools and colleges to improve their careers and enterprise activities and to engage with the world of work.
• Make it easier for employers and the self-employed to engage with schools and colleges.
• Focus everyone’s efforts on programmes and activities that are most effective in motivating young people, supporting independent choice, and supporting positive outcomes for young people.
