Solent SME Grant Programmes Extended

The Solent Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has today (Wednesday 12th October 2016) announced an extension to the SME grant programmes available to businesses in the Solent.

The grant programmes target businesses in the Marine & Maritime sector or those with an Armed Forces background and have now been extended to continue operation until March 2018 providing more opportunities for businesses seeking support to start-up or expand their activities.

Grants with a value of between £5,000 - £75,000, or up to a maximum of £100,000 in exceptional circumstances where significant job creation and private sector investment by the applicant can be demonstrated.

These funds are part of the ongoing support Solent LEP has made available to local SMEs through its previously highly successful Bridging the Gap programmes. These funds delivered support to over 148 businesses in the Solent area investing £1.5 million to facilitate their start-up or growth.
